Hi people, welcome to my academic tin. My name is Quentin E. Williams and I am a PHD student in the department of Linguistics at the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. All my life I have lived and dwelled the streets of Bishop Lavis, Cape Town, in search of a better Self. Today I am edging a small corner in the Southern most part of the world in order to become wiser and knowledgeable. This website celebrates my achievements in life, my travels, the people I share my life with, my academic development and where I find myself today. Click on any of the links on the left to experience the things in my tin. Make sure to read through some of the articles I post, my PHD proposal and many more other things to be posted in the future. So, hop in my tin and experience the growth and development of a sociolinguist, Englishes and Linguistic Imperialism critic, and hip-hop linguistic scholar/activist in the making. Skanggagga! (I am here, my presence will be felt) Current Location: Cape Town, South Africa
